Hey Y’all, Bailey Rae here. This site mainly consists of food, I mean entirely consists of food! Lately, I’ve wanted to shake things up a bit, so here we go!
Since a bunch of you are new, I wanted to start by sharing why I started The Local Vegan and where I envision it going.
Five years ago I began my plant-based journey. From the beginning, I was determined to make plant-based meals that were so good; it would convince my friends and family to eat plant-based. I quickly began developing delicious dishes and feeding anyone who would come over.
Those first recipes are still some of the most popular on the website. Website? That’s next. Everyone who tried my food always requested the recipe, so I started a blog, where they could have access to any recipe, anytime.
Fast-forward 3.5 years and my passion continues to grow, along with my website. I relaunched The Local Vegan to help you adopt a plant-based lifestyle by loving the food you are eating, teaching you the skills necessary to help you succeed and thrive being plant-based. I am determined to take away the misconception that vegan food is gross, weird, or unsatisfying!
Going plant-based is hard, especially in the beginning and having recipes that are so dang delicious you don’t miss the meat is the key to success!
At The Local Vegan, I provide on-demand help, seasonally inspired meal plans complete with shopping lists and a prep guide. If you are unsure how to make a recipe, watch the recipe video that goes along with it!
I am here to help, and hopefully, inspire you to give plant-based eating a shot. If you want to dip your toe in, and only try 1 meal a week, that’s fine! If your ready to go all in, let’s do it! No matter what eating plant-based looks like for you, here you are welcome, encouraged, and supported!
