New Year, New Decade, Bring on 30!

2020 welcomes a bit of extra "newness" for me, and it has me thinking about what my "food philosophy" is as a chef.
First, it's my first year feeding a little mouth. This has me thinking about what I want to teach my children and memories I want to instill in them. Hoping these memories will inspire them throughout their lives.
Second, in January I entered into my 30's, so it's truly the start of a new decade!
Coming into my thirties brings a strong urge to conquer a few bad food habits, and focus on nourishing my body in the best way. I haven't completely nailed down my "food philosophy" yet, but I have a passion for creating the best food using the best ingredients. To get the best ingredients, you must cook seasonally and grow as much as you can or become a regular at your local farmers market.
Three words come to mind as I think about what this year of food will look like at Bailey Rae's Kitchen and the recipes I will share with you: Simple. Fresh. Delicious.
Get excited; it's going to be one delicious year.
